José Antonio Chamot (born May 17, 1969 in Concepción del Uruguay ) is a former Argentine football player .

Career

Chamot played for Club Gimnasia y Esgrima (Concepción del Uruguay) and Rosario Central before moving to the Italian Serie-A . There he played for AC Pisa , US Foggia , Lazio Rome and AC Milan . Chamot also played for Atlético Madrid in the Spanish Primera División .

National team

José Antonio Chamot took part with the Argentine national team at the World Cup finals in 1994 , 1998 and 2002 . He also won the silver medal with the Argentine national team at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta .
