José Luis García Sánchez

José Luis García Sánchez (born September 22, 1941 in Salamanca , Castilla y León ) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter .

García Sánchez also worked as a producer and actor , e.g. B. in Colorín Colorado (1976). His work has twice received the film award Goya Award: In 1993 he received the award together with Rafael Azcona and Fernando Trueba in the category "Best Original Screenplay" for Belle Epoque (→ Goya 1993 ), and in 1994, again with Rafael Azcona, in the category " Best adapted screenplay ”for Tirano Banderas (→ Goya 1994 ).

In 2004 he filmed the biography of the Spanish philosopher and poet María Zambrano under the title María querida .
