José Manuel Ochotorena Santacruz (born January 16, 1961 in San Sebastián ) is a former Spanish soccer goalkeeper and soccer coach.

life and career

Currently, Ochotorena goalkeeping coach at FC Valencia . From there he came in 2004, he came to Liverpool with his Spanish colleague Rafael Benítez , but returned in July 2007. Before joining Liverpool, he was also the goalkeeping coach of the Spanish national team . As a player, Ochotorena was under contract with Real Madrid , FC Valencia, CD Tenerife , CD Logrones and Racing Santander . He made a game for the Spanish national football team and took part in the 1990 World Cup in Italy as a substitute goalkeeper for Andoni Zubizarreta . He was not used at the World Cup and Spain was eliminated in the round of 16.
