Club Deportivo Logroñés was a Spanish football club from the city of Logroño in the province of La Rioja . The club last played in 2008/09 in Segunda Division B (Group II).
history
CD Logroñés was founded in 1940, and followed the CD Logroño launched in 1924 . 1950 you rose for the first time in the Segunda División . The first promotion to the first division came in 1987. In the following eight years, the club remained in the Primera División, which is also the most successful era of the club. The last participation in the first division reached CD Logroñés in 1996/97 . Then the sporting descent followed, accompanied by financial problems. In 1999/2000 the club was transferred to the fourth-class Tercera División for unpaid player salaries from the second division . After the meanwhile resurgence in the Segunda División B , the game operation was stopped during the 2008/09 season.
In 2009, the two successor associations UD Logroñés and SD Logroñés were founded independently of each other .
