José Sierra (born March 3, 1931 in Mexico City ), also known by the nickname El Chato , is a retired Mexican football player in the position of goalkeeper .

career

"Chato" Sierra was under contract with his "hometown club" Atlante in the early 1950s , but was rarely used behind regular goalkeeper Salvador Mota . One of his few missions for the Potros he completed on April 6, 1952 in the last cup game of the final group of the 1951/52 cup season , when the CF Atlante won the Mexican Cup competition by beating Puebla FC 2-0 . In the Supercup against the champions León FC (1-0), which was held just a week later, the actual goalkeeper Salvador Mota again guarded the goal.
