José María Canlás Sison , called Armando Liwanag , Joma (born February 8, 1939 in Cabugao , Philippines ) is a Filipino writer.

biography

He is the founder and alleged leader of the Maoist revolutionary Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas (CPP) and its military wing, the Nuevo Ejército del Pueblo (NPA, German: New People's Army ), which, according to the EU, has been waging a guerrilla war with several thousand fighters since 1969 leads. He is considered the chief adviser to the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP), led by the CPP .
