Josef Aigner (motor sportsman)

Josef Aigner (born June 19, 1959 in Olching ) is a German motorcycle track racer who has been successful in the speedway and on the long track.

Career

Aigner began his career in 1977 and was a reservist for the first time in 1979 in the long-course World Cup .

His greatest successes were winning the German Speedway Individual Championship in 1982 in Bremen-Arsten and third place at the Long Track World Championships in 1980 on the Eichenring in Scheeßel / D. Aigner started for the MSC Olching in the Speedway Bundesliga . Aigner ended his active racing career as early as 1986. In September 1984 Aigner played his last World Cup final on the long track in Herxheim / D.

Personal

In the early 80s, the German youth magazine BRAVO published a so-called "BRAVO photo love story" that played in the speedway scene. The main characters in it were Josef Aigner and his speedway racing driver colleague Peter Würterle .
