Josef Bernhard Pelzel
Joseph Bernhard Pelzel (* 1745 in Reichenau an der Knieschna , Königgrätzer Kreis , Bohemia ; † 1804 in Vienna ) was an Austrian writer and civil servant.
Pelzel's family were of Czech descent; even his grandfather spelled himself Kožišek (in German about goat skin , little fur ), from which the German word Pelzel originated. He was a brother of the historian Franz Martin Pelzel .
Joseph Bernhard was initially secretary to Count Cobenzl , then became an imperial official in the kk Bancogefälls administration, most recently an expeditor at the customs office in Vienna.
He wrote plays, sometimes without giving his name.
