Josef Denk (philologist)
Josef Denk (born January 18, 1849 in Munich ; † January 22, 1927 there ) was a German philologist and theologian.
Life
After his ordination in 1875, he was pastor in various rural parishes, most recently in Straussdorf near Grafing (1899–1902). From 1903 he was a freelance pastor in Munich . He collected references to the Vetus Latina . After his death, the Beuron Archabbey became the owner of his library and the papers he had collected. There the work in the Vetus Latina Institute will be continued.
