Josef Dienbauer

Josef Dienbauer (born March 30, 1898 in Thomasberg ; † December 8, 1986 in Edlitz ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). Dienbauer was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1934 to 1938 and from 1945 to 1964 .

Dienbauer worked as a farmer in Thomasberg and did his military service from 1916 to 1919, where he was taken prisoner of war. Between 1924 and 1936 he was a member of the local council of Thomasberg, was from 1932 regional chamber councilor and from 1936 to 1938 mayor and member of the federal economic council. As a representative of agriculture and forestry, Dienbauer was a member of the state parliament from November 22, 1934 to March 12, 1938. Dienbauer was disciplined in 1939 and drafted again for military service from 1939 to 1940 and 1945. After the end of the Second World War, Dienbauer held the office of mayor again from 1945 to 1972 and was sworn in as a member of the state parliament on December 12, 1945, of which he was a member until November 19, 1964.

Dienbauer was awarded the professional title of Economics Council. He was an honorary citizen of 25 parishes.
