Josef Elsnitz

Josef Elsnitz (born August 29, 1914 in Graz ; † December 9, 1978 there ) was an Austrian politician of the electoral party of the Independent (WdU), who was, among other things, regional councilor in the Styrian state government between 1949 and 1953 .

Life

Josef Elsnitz attended the secondary school in Bruck an der Mur and began studying law at the University of Graz after completing his military service . After the court year, he worked as a trainee attorney and then in the financial service. He worked as a government commissioner in the office of the Styrian state government and in 1948 obtained a doctorate in law from the University of Graz. On November 5, 1949, he became a member of the Styrian state parliament for the electoral party of the Independent (WdU) . Just one week later, on November 12, 1949, he joined the Styrian state government and between November 12, 1949 and April 15, 1953, he was state councilor for building law matters and the state statistical office in the state government Josef Krainer senior III . In 1949 he also became chairman of the regional association of WdU in Styria and a member of the federal executive committee of WdU.
