Josef Epple (1789–1846)

Franz Josef (Joseph) Epple (born May 11, 1789 in Biberach an der Riss ; † December 9, 1846 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) was a school teacher and Swabian dialect poet .

Life

From 1810 he lived in Schwäbisch Gmünd. He wrote a city chronicle, which appeared in sequels in the local daily newspaper. He became known for his Swabian dialect poems, which were mainly about everyday occurrences.
