Rudolf Sauter

Rudolf Sauter (* 1925 in Denkingen ; † January 5, 2013 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) was a German pedagogue , philologist , dialect poet and university professor .

Life

Sauter grew up in Hussenhofen near Schwäbisch Gmünd and studied German and pedagogy at the University of Tübingen . He received his doctorate in 1954 with the dissertation Role Models and Idols: Investigations into the limits and possibilities of school education to become a Dr. phil. and then went to school.

In 1959, Sauter first came as a lecturer at the Pedagogical Institute in Schwäbisch Gmünd , then in 1967 until his retirement in 1990 at the successor institute, the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education, Professor of School Education. From 1965 to 1967 he was also the university's prorector . From 1967 to 1974 Sauter took over the management of the school practice, and in 1980 he became the head of the branch office of the state teacher examination office. He held this position until 1988.

Act

Sauter initially devoted himself to exemplary education and later gained popularity as a traffic educator. In 1970 he published a plea for the all-day school. In addition to his educational work, he was active as a dialect poet and literary friend. He also published a Saturday comment under the pseudonym Alois in the Gmünder Tagespost . He used the pseudonym Ignaz less often .
