Josef Göhler

Josef Göhler (born November 17, 1911 in Hösbach ; † January 27, 2001 in Würzburg ) was a German author and sports official.

Life

Göhler, son of the sawmill owner Franz Josef Göhler and his wife Gertrud, b. Sauer, headed the German gymnastics team after the Second World War , and in 1949 he also prepared German gymnasts for the Lingiade in Stockholm. From 1948 to 1957 he was press officer in the German Gymnastics Federation . From 1966 to 1982 he was Vice President of the German Gymnastics Federation, after which he became an honorary member, and from 1974 to 1978 he was federal culture warden.

Josef Göhler wrote numerous gymnastics publications and was co-author of the manual of gymnastics language (2nd edition, Celle 1980).
