Josef Heinrichs (politician)

Josef Heinrichs (born April 15, 1919 in Berrendorf ; † February 14, 1994 ) was a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending primary school , he completed a commercial apprenticeship and was then a commercial clerk. Following his military service , he was employed by the labor administration as an employee.

Heinrichs was the last prefect of the Catholic youth in Lendersdorf until it was dissolved by the National Socialists. In 1945 he was one of the founders of the CDU in Lendersdorf. In 1946 he became a member of the SPD and was active in numerous party committees. In the SPD, Heinrichs was a member of the Düren sub-district committee, the Middle Rhine district committee and the North Rhine-Westphalia state committee. He was also a member of the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union .

From July 21, 1958 to July 20, 1962, from October 1, 1965 to July 23, 1966 and from October 22, 1969 to May 27, 1975 Heinrichs was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list in the fourth and seventh electoral terms. In the fifth and sixth electoral terms he moved up on the reserve list.

He was a member of the council of the municipality of Lendersdorf from 1948 to 1959 and was mayor from 1957 to 1959 . He was represented in the district council of the Düren district from 1948 to 1959.
