Josef Laggner
Josef Laggner (born August 26, 1966 in Bad Gastein ) is an Austrian restaurateur .
family
Laggner comes from a humble background, his parents worked as butchers and chambermaids. After completing secondary school and an apprenticeship as a waiter, he came to Berlin when he was 19 . First he worked as a waiter for several years in the luxury Greek restaurant Fofi.
Catering entrepreneur
In 1995 he and a partner, from whom he later separated, took over the Lutter & Wegner wine restaurant in Berlin-Charlottenburg , which was about to go bankrupt . In 1997 the seat was moved to the Gendarmenmarkt in Mitte. This was gradually followed by other restaurants in prominent locations in Berlin and Potsdam, among others

Lutter & Wegner branches are operated in Bad Gastein, Seebad Heringsdorf , Munich and Hamburg as well as in the Weinhaus Huth on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. Laggner currently operates around 25 facilities in total. Laggner mainly offers German-Austrian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. His restaurant Solitude in Bad Gastein is mentioned in the Gault-Millau restaurant guide.
Each restaurant is run in a separate company. In total, Laggner achieved annual sales of around € 35–40 million in 2009 and employed around 600 people.
Private
In addition to a child from a previous relationship, he has also had a daughter with Isabella Baronin von Schorlemer since July 2012 .
