Josef Lowag

Josef Lowag (born September 18, 1849 in Einsiedel, part of Vrbno pod Pradědem ; † March 14, 1911 in Würbenthal, today Vrbno pod Pradědem ) was a Sudeten - Silesian dialect poet .

Life

He was the son of a smith . Josef Lowag first became a smelter in an ironworks and after attending a private mining and smelting school in Buchbergsthal (now part of Vrbno pod Pradědem) a miner .

In addition, he also worked as a local writer and dialect poet. His works were reissued in the FRG after 1945 .
