The Strabag water conservancy , formerly Josef Möbius Bau , is a German construction company and subsidiary of Strabag . It is active in the fields of earthworks , hydraulic engineering , waterway construction , civil engineering and foundation as well as engineering services.

On August 1, 1950, Josef Möbius took over the general partnership (oHG) under the name EA Wilkens & Co. Tiefbauunternehmen. On January 1, 1959, the company was converted into a family limited partnership . On January 15, 1962, the sole proprietorship Josef Möbius was reorganized into Josef Möbius Bau-Aktiengesellschaft with the address Hamburg-Altona , Eggersallee 19, the number of employees was 444.

In 1969 the company was converted into a limited liability company, and in 1972 into an OHG. As early as 1973 the company was converted into a KG , and in 1974 into a GmbH & Co. KG .

In 1990 Philipp Holzmann AG took a share in the company. As a result of the insolvency of Philipp Holzmann AG, the shares in Philipp Holzmann AG were bought back by the Möbius family in 2001. In 2002 the name was changed to Josef Möbius Bau- Aktiengesellschaft .

In 2007 Strabag SE acquired 70% of the shares in Josef Möbius Bau-Aktiengesellschaft . In 2011 Strabag acquired the remaining 30% and thus became the sole shareholder. In the same year she converted the company into a GmbH. In 2014 the name was changed to Strabag Wasserbau.
