Josef Mölschl

Josef Mölschl (born December 22, 1929 in Krems in Kärnten , Carinthia ; † February 3, 2019 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and teacher .

Life

Josef Mölschl, who was born in Eisentratten, a community that was still independent at the time, first attended elementary and secondary school and from 1944 graduated from the teacher training institute in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee . From 1950 Mölschl first worked as a teacher at the elementary school in Penk , a cadastral community of Reißeck . Three years later he switched to teaching at the secondary school in Obervellach . In 1958 he also received the teaching qualification test for secondary schools.

His political career began in 1953 when he was elected local party leader of the ÖVP in Penk. In 1964 he was also elected chairman of the ÖVP in Obervellach and in the same year the mayor of the market town. From 1970 Mölschl was the district chairman of the People's Party for the Spittal an der Drau district .

From July 1974 to March 1975 he was a Carinthian delegate in the Federal Council in Vienna . This was followed by his swearing-in as a member of the Carinthian state parliament , to which Mölschl was a member for 14 years, from 1975 to 1989.

From 1990 to 1993 Mölschl was a member of the World Association of Twin Cities.
