Josef Niemeyer
Josef Niemeyer (born May 27, 1903 in Riesenbeck , Tecklenburg district , † January 13, 1978 ) was a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Administrative Court .
Life
Niemeyer received his doctorate in 1927 from the University of Erlangen under Emil Sehling . He worked as a senior government councilor at the regional finance department in Münster until he was appointed judge at the Federal Disciplinary Court in 1953 . Here he rose to the position of Senate President in 1958. In 1967 he moved to the Federal Administrative Court as Senate President , where he served in the 3rd Disciplinary Senate until he retired in 1971. On this occasion he was honored with the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
