Josef Selbach

Josef Wilhelm Selbach (born March 19, 1915 - † January 25, 2010 ) was a German administrative lawyer .

Life

After studying law , Selbach worked at the Baden-Baden District Court from 1948 to 1950 . This was followed by work as an assistant judge at the Offenburg regional court . From 1950 Selbach was with the Federal Chancellery and there from 1952 to 1963 head of the Chancellor's office. In 1963 he was personal advisor to Federal Chancellor Konrad Adenauer . Afterwards he was head of the office of the former Federal Chancellor Adenauer until 1969. As the successor to Georg Bretschneider , Selbach was Vice President of the Federal Audit Office and Deputy Chairman of the Federal Personnel Committee from 1969 to 1983 .
