Georg Bretschneider

Georg Moritz Bretschneider (born May 11, 1901 in Mylau ; † September 23, 1995 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German lawyer and Vice President of the Federal Audit Office .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Reichenbach, Bretschneider began studying law and administrative sciences at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen in the winter semester of 1920/1921 , which he continued from 1922 at the University of Leipzig . In Tübingen he became a member of the Scottish Landsmannschaft , in Leipzig of the Afrania Landsmannschaft .

After graduating as Dr. jur. In 1927 at the University of Leipzig, Bretschneider completed his studies in 1927 with the assessor exam.

Bretschneider came to the Saxon Ministry of Justice as a government assessor in 1928 . From 1933 he was a member of the government at the Dresden State Tax Office and from 1936 at the Königsberg State Tax Office. In 1938 Bretschneider came to Innsbruck as a member of the government and was transferred to Berlin in October 1938. From 1949 he was senior government councilor in the financial administration in Bad Homburg and from 1951 Ministerialrat in Bonn.

From 1961 to 1969 Georg Bretschneider was Vice President of the Federal Audit Office in Frankfurt am Main. After the death of Guido Hertels in July 1963, Bretschneider served as his interim president for a year.
