Josef Will

Josef Will (born April 11, 1895 in Oppenhausen , † June 12, 1976 in Boppard ) was a German politician and member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament .

Life

Will was born the second oldest of nine children. He was a soldier for two years in World War I and worked in tunnel construction for three years after the end of the war. In 1921 he built a grain mill with his brother-in-law and uncle, which he took over alone in 1935. In 1939 the mill was rebuilt and modernized, which was taken over by his son in 1957. He was released from World War II .

politics

In the summer of 1945, Will was elected to the local council for the first time, to which he was a member until 1964. From 1946 to 1956 he was a member of the district council. From 1950 to 1964 he was a member of the committee for the election of lay judges for the district court district of Boppard.

From October 1953 to March 1955 he was a member of the CDU in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . He represented the interests of his fellow citizens in the Halsenbach office from 1956 to 1964.

From 1960 to October 1964 Will was mayor of his parish. Due to illness, he resigned all offices in 1964.
