Josefine Beinke

Josefine "Josy" Corinn Beinke (born June 1, 1992 in Herford ) is a German rally co-driver and lives in Bünde , East Westphalia . She became known through international success at the side of Christian Riedemann.

Career

2007 to 2010

Josefine C. Beinke, daughter of rally driver Jürgen Beinke from Rödinghausen , made her rally debut in 2007 at the national rally in Peine at the side of her father. Two years later she contested her first run in the German Rally Championship , also at the side of her father. In the 2010 season she accompanied the young German driver Christian Riedemann in the Fiesta Sport Trophy international, which was held as part of the World Rally Championship . The two took the trophy victory at the Rally Germany and the Rally Catalonia in Spain.

Her greatest success is fourth place in the Junior World Rally Championship at Rallye Deutschland . In the same year, Beinke also contested the IRC run in Cyprus with Austrian rally driver Franz Wittmann jr in a Peugeot 207 S2000, but the two were eliminated there.

2011 to 2013

In the 2011 season Beinke withdrew from the international rally scene in order to devote himself to her training. She accompanied the Dutch rally driver Jan Nijhof, with whom she was able to achieve an overall victory at the ShortRally in Hengelo. Most recently they took part in the Cologne-Ahrweiler rally. There they were eliminated shortly before the finish line.

In the following season in 2012 Josefine competed in selected events with various drivers in Germany and neighboring countries. It wasn't until 2013 that she managed to get back to the side of a young pilot. She accompanied junior Dominik Dinkel in the ADAC Opel Rallye Cup and finished the season in 4th place out of 24 participants. Also worth mentioning is an overall victory alongside Ronald Leschhorn in the ADAC Rallye Grönegau in a Peugeot 207 S2000 and her first appearance in the Opel works team in the Waldviertel Rallye with Marijan Griebel in an Opel Adam R2.

2014 until today

In her 8th year as rally co-driver, Josy will be part of the ADAC Opel Rallye Junior Team with Fabian Kreim in races for the German Rally Championship, as well as the European Championship run in Belgium and the World Championship run in Germany.
