Joselita Alvarenga

Joselita Alvarenga (born December 4, 1934 in Cambuquira , Minas Gerais state , Brazil ) is a Brazilian actress. She became known through her marriage to the Portuguese comedian Raul Solnado .

Life

Alvarenga can point to more than 55 years of stage presence. From 1956 to 1970 she was married to the Portuguese comedian and actor Raul Solnado, which also brought her a great fame in Portugal. Their children, Alexandra Solnado and Jose Renato Solnado, are also artistically active. Alexandra is a well-known writer, Jose Renato is a theater and television actor.

Her film and television oeuvre is very narrow. She has acted in only four films and starred in several telenovelas . As a theater actress, however, she has achieved great fame in Brazil and Portugal: She played in plays by Plinio Marcos , Federico Knot , Tennessee Williams , Abilio Perreira de Almeida , Bertolt Brecht , Maxim Gorki and Manuel Puig . In some plays she was also on stage with her husband Raul Solnado.

One of the well-known theaters where she played was, for example, the Teatro Villaret in Lisbon . Today she works as a freelance acting teacher for dramaturgy and direction.
