Peter "Feile" Hayduk (born April 10, 1953 in Schöningen ) is a former German football player and current coach . The striker spent most of his career at Hannover 96 .

Player career

Hayduk started his career as a youth at FC Schöningen 08 .

Professional in Braunschweig and move to Hannover 96

In July 1974 he went to the then Bundesliga club Eintracht Braunschweig , where he remained without a Bundesliga appearance. Therefore, Hayduk switched to arch rivals and Bundesliga rivals Hannover 96 a year later . Here he was able to assert himself immediately as a regular player. He made his debut with the Reds on August 9, 1975 in the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach . In this game he also scored his first Bundesliga goal when he scored the 3: 3 interim 2: 2 after a solo. This gate was voted Gate of the Month for August 1975 . At the end of the season, Peter Hayduk scored 11 goals in 32 games, including two doubles against Eintracht Frankfurt (3: 2) and Bayer Uerdingen (3: 1).

1. FC Saarbrücken

His good performance drew the attention of many Bundesliga clubs, and so Hayduk switched to 1. FC Saarbrücken in July 1976 after relegating Hannover 96 . But here he could not call up his usual performance; the striker only scored one goal in 22 games. The 1977/78 season started very badly for Hayduk. At Saarbrücken he was only second choice and was only used in one game against VfB Stuttgart when he came on for Konrad Eickels in the 83rd minute .

Change to Wuppertaler SV

This prompted him to terminate his contract with the Saarlanders . Only a short time later, the Schöninger signed with Wuppertaler SV in the 2nd division north . He made his debut on the 16th matchday in the 1: 3 defeat against Schwarz-Weiß Essen on November 26, 1977. In the next game against Westfalia Herne , Hayduk entered the shooting list when he scored the 1: 1- Final score scored. On the 29th matchday he was substituted in the game against Alemannia Aachen (0: 1) due to injury in the 40th minute. He celebrated his return on May 5, 1978 (35th matchday) against Schwarz-Weiß Essen. In total, Hayduk scored five goals in 15 games. The next season was also successful for the striker; he scored eleven goals in 34 games, including three doubles against Rot-Weiß Lüdenscheid (2: 4) and twice against his former club Hannover 96 (5: 3 and 2: 2). At Wuppertaler SV, Peter Hayduk was also a regular and, with a few exceptions, always played in the starting line-up.

Return to Hannover 96

After two mixed seasons, when they finished 11th and 17th, Peter Hayduk switched to his former club Hannover 96 for the 1979/80 season . Here, as in his first time with the Hanoverians, Hayduk became a regular player again; in his first game after his return, he scored a goal that made it 2-0 in the 4-2 win against OSC Bremerhaven . Throughout the season, Hayduk scored twelve goals in 37 games and acted very well with his strike partner Dieter Schatzschneider , who even scored 34 goals this season. In the next few years, however, he could not build on his performance this season. While he scored eight goals in 39 second division games in the 1980/81 season , including two doubles against Rot-Weiss Essen (4: 1) and Tennis Borussia Berlin (5: 3), it was only three in 1981/82 33 games. In the 1982/83 season, "Feile", as he was called, scored nine goals in 32 games, including a hat-trick against BV 08 Lüttringhausen (3: 6).

In the 1983/84 season , Peter Hayduk was used regularly until the winter break and scored six goals in 16 games. He played his last game on November 12, 1983 against Hertha BSC up to the 84th minute before he was substituted for Detlef Hennies . In that away game he was fouled by Ole Rasmussen and suffered a double cruciate ligament tear, medial ligament tear and medial meniscus tear, after which he had to end his professional career the following day. In the previous game on the 15th matchday against VfL Osnabrück (3-2), he scored his last goal for Hannover 96 when he scored 1-0 in the meantime.

Coaching career

Hayduk began his coaching career in 1984. He coached the amateurs of Hannover 96 and the ASC Nienburg . On October 1, 1991 he went to Sparta Langenhagen , whose coach he remained until the end of June 1996. In the seasons 1996/97 and 1997/98 Peter Hayduk was coach at SC Harsum , where he was dismissed after relegation from the league. For the 1999/2000 season, Peter Hayduk was introduced as Uli Stein's new assistant coach at TuS Celle . After several coach changes, he took over the club on September 29, 2001 on an interim basis for four games until October 28, 2001. At the end of the 2001/02 season, he left the club. In 2004 Hayduk became a coach at TSV Burgdorf . After quarreling with the club's board, he left the club. Since the 2006/07 season he has been an assistant coach alongside Kurt Becker at SV Ramlingen-Ehlershausen .
