Joseph-Frédéric Debacq

Joseph-Frédéric Debacq (born May 15, 1800 in Paris ; † 1892 there ) was a French architect .

Debacq studied from 1818 at the École des beaux-arts in Paris with Lucien Van Clemputte . He became an architect for the city of Paris. In 1825 and 1828 he undertook research with the Duke of Luynes in southern Italy, especially in Metapont . With Charles Garnier he worked on the construction of the funerary chapel of the Château de Dampierre in Dampierre for the Duke of Luynes, whose private house in Paris he also built.
