Dampierre-en-Yvelines is a French commune with 1,037 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Rambouillet and the Canton of Maurepas . The municipality is located in the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park ( French Parc naturel régional de la Haute Vallée de Chevreuse ), in the valley of the river Yvette .

Neighboring municipalities of Dampierre are: Mesnil-Saint-Denis in the north, Saint-Forget in the northeast and east, Choisel in the southeast, Senlisse in the south, Les Essarts-le-Roi in the west and Lévis-Saint-Nom in the northwest.
