Cernay-la-Ville is a French commune with 1,577 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Rambouillet (until 2015: canton of Chevreuse ). The inhabitants are called Cernaysia .

geography

The municipality is part of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park . Cernay-la-Ville is located about 33 kilometers southwest of Paris and is surrounded by the neighboring communities Senlisse in the north, Choisel in the east, Bullion in the southeast, La Celle-les-Bordes in the south and Auffargis in the west.
