La Queue-les-Yvelines , nowadays increasingly common La Queue-lez-Yvelines written, is a French municipality with 2180 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Aubergenville (until 2015: canton of Montfort-l'Amaury ). The inhabitants are called Laqueutois .
geography
The municipality is part of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park . La Queue-les-Yvelines is located about 30 kilometers west of Versailles and covers an area of 577 hectares. Neighboring communities are:
- Garancières in the north
- Boissy-sans-Avoir to the east
- Galluis in the southeast
- Grosrouvre in the south
- Millemont to the west
