Saulx-Marchais is a French municipality with 937 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Aubergenville (until 2015: canton of Montfort-l'Amaury ). The inhabitants are called Marcasalucéens .

Saulx-Marchais is about 36 kilometers west of Paris . Saulx-Marchais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marcq in the north and northwest, Beynes in the east and northeast, Vicq in the south and Auteuil in the west.
