Les Bréviaires is a French commune with 1,244 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Rambouillet . The inhabitants are called Bruyérois .
geography
Les Bréviaires is about 42 kilometers west-southwest of Paris and about seven kilometers north of Rambouillet . The municipality is part of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park . Les Bréviaires is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Mesnuls in the north and northeast, Saint-Rémy-l'Honoré in the northeast, Les Essarts-le-Roi in the east, Le Perray-en-Yvelines in the southeast, Rambouillet in the south, Poigny-la- Forêt in the south-west and Saint-Léger-en-Yvelines in the west and north-west.
