La Verriere is a French municipality with 6715 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . La Verrière is located in the arrondissement of Rambouillet and in the canton of Trappes . The inhabitants are called Verrinois .

La Verrière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Maurepas in the north, Élancourt in the north and east, Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis in the south and Coignières in the west.
