geography
The parish is 16 kilometers north of Rambouillet and 25 kilometers west of Versailles on the banks of the Mauldre River . The municipality is part of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park . Neighboring municipalities are: Jouars-Pontchartrain in the northeast, Coignières in the east, Les Essarts-le-Roi in the south, Les Bréviaires in the southwest, Les Mesnuls in the west, Bazoches-sur-Guyonne in the northwest and Le Tremblay-sur-Mauldre in the north.
