Fabio Abate

Fabio Abate (2007)

Fabio Abate (born January 4, 1966 in Locarno ; entitled to live in Cabbio ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ) and a former member first of the National Council and then of the Council of States .

Career

The notary and lawyer ( admitted to the bar since 1994) specializes in administrative law, sales contract law and civil law.

Abate had been National Councilor for the Canton of Ticino since 2000 , when he was able to replace the resigned Gabriele Gendotti . In the general elections in 2003 and 2007 he was confirmed in this office. In the 2011 elections he was elected to the Senate, and in 2015 re-elected. In 2019 he resigned from this office at the end of the 50th legislative period .

Abate is married and has two children.
