Ponthévrard is a French municipality with 636 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Rambouillet (until 2015: canton of Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines ). The inhabitants are called Évryponthains .
geography
Ponthévrard is about 54 kilometers southwest of Paris and about eleven kilometers south-southeast of Rambouillet . Ponthévrard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines in the north and east, Sainte-Mesme in the east and south-east, Saint-Martin-de-Bréthencourt in the south and Sonchamp in the west and north-west.
The motorway triangle of the Autoroute A10 with the Autoroute A11 is located in the municipality .
