Villiers-le-Mahieu is a French municipality with 794 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Aubergenville (until 2015: canton of Montfort-l'Amaury ). The inhabitants are called Mahieutins .

Villiers-le-Mahieu is located about 26 kilometers west-northwest of Versailles . Villiers-le-Mahieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Goupillières in the north, Thoiry in the east and northeast, Autouillet in the east and southeast, Garancières in the south and Flexanville in the west.
