Mareil-le-Guyon is a French municipality with 377 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Aubergenville (until 2015: canton of Montfort-l'Amaury ). The inhabitants are called Mareillois .
geography
Mareil-le-Guyon is about 36 kilometers west-southwest of Paris . The municipality is part of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park . Mareil-le-Guyon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Neauphle-le-Vieux in the north, Bazoches-sur-Guyonne in the south and east and Méré in the west.
Route nationale 12 runs along the northern edge of the municipality .
