Marcq is a French municipality with 762 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Aubergenville (until 2015: canton of Montfort-l'Amaury ). The inhabitants are called Marcquois .

geography

Marcq is located 24 kilometers north of Rambouillet and about 38 kilometers west of Paris . The neighboring communities of Marcq are Andelu in the north, Montainville in the northeast, Beynes in the east, Saulx-Marchais in the southeast, Auteuil in the south, Autouillet in the southwest and Thoiry in the west and northwest.
