Hermeray is a French municipality with 956 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Rambouillet . The inhabitants are called Hermolitiens .
geography
Hermeray is located about 55 kilometers west-southwest of Paris and about eleven kilometers west of Rambouillet . The municipality is part of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park . Hermeray is surrounded by the neighboring communities Mittainville in the north and northwest, La Boissière-École in the north, Poigny-la-Forêt in the east and northeast, Gazeran in the east and southeast, Saint-Hilarion in the south and southeast, Raizeux in the south and Saint-Lucien in the West.
