Raizeux is a French municipality with 952 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rambouillet and the canton of Rambouillet . The inhabitants are called Raizeuliens .
geography
Raizeux is about 55 kilometers west-southwest of Paris and about ten kilometers west-southwest of Rambouillet . The municipality is part of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park . Raizeux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hermeray in the north, Saint-Hilarion in the east and south-east, Épernon in the south, Hanches in the west and south-west and Saint-Lucien in the west and north-west.
