Longvilliers is a French commune in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France in the south of Greater Paris . It consists of the core village and six associated municipalities, with 502 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) spread over 1,391 hectares. The municipality is part of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park .

The next larger towns are Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines and Dourdan . The responsible sub-prefecture is Rambouillet .

The surrounding area is ideal for hiking (forest areas of Rambouillet and Dourdan). There are some well-known breeding studs in the area.
