history

In 1804, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the Kaufbeuren district court was established. This came to the newly founded Lechkreis with the capital Augsburg . The district office of Kaufbeuren was formed in 1862 through the merger in administrative terms of the district courts of the older order Buchloe and Kaufbeuren. The Kaufbeuren district court continued to exist as the court authority. With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a Kaufbeuren district court was formed, the district of which was identical to the previous district of Kaufbeuren.
