Saulius Voveris
Saulius Voveris (* 1977 ) is a Lithuanian chess player. He is three times Lithuanian champion in correspondence chess (2015, 2016, 2017). At the 31st Lithuanian Championship, Voveris reached 1st place with 11 points from 14 games (he won 8 parties and 6 parties ended in a draw). Voveris took part in fourteen correspondence chess championships, including European and world championships (most recently at the semifinals ICCF World Cup 20 sf 02 from 2015).
Life and family
Saulius Voveris has been playing chess since childhood. His first coach was his father Gediminas Voveris (* 1950), also a chess player, Lithuanian runner-up in correspondence chess (2013-2015), local politician and councilor of the district of Širvintos .
Voveris is married and lives with his family in the small town of Širvintos , Vilnius District . His son Lukas Voveris (* 2002) also plays chess and takes part in the national Lithuanian children's chess championship.
