Joseph Churms
Joseph Churms (born May 16, 1926 in Woodstock , South Africa , † September 25, 1994 ) was a South African astronomer .
Churms was Deputy Director of the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) and discovered the asteroids Nortia and Okavango in 1953 .
In 1984 he received the Long Service Award from the Astronomical Society of Southern Africa.
