Joseph Dorfman (economist)

Joseph Dorfman (born March 27, 1904 in Russia , † July 21, 1991 in Manhattan ) was an American economist . His specialty was the history of economic thought.

Life

After graduating from Reed College , Dorfman studied at Columbia University , where he earned his Masters and PhD degrees.

He then worked as assistant to the head of the Institute of International Finance and worked as an economist for the National Industrial Conference Board .

From 1931, Dorfman taught at Columbia University; In 1948 she appointed him full professor and finally emeritus .
