Joseph Ernst Berghoff

Joseph Ernst Berghoff (born May 3, 1888 in Schmallenberg ; † before 1919) was a German philologist .

Life

Berghoff was the son of the teacher Anton Berghoff and his wife Johanna, née Hackhausen. After elementary school he attended the secondary school in Witten . He then studied in Bonn . There he was on July 31, 1914 with the dissertation Die Philologische Schriften Bonivard (1493-1570) . PhD

Joseph Ernst Berghoff died in the First World War . The work François de Bonivard - His Life and His Writings was published posthumously in Heidelberg in his memory .
