Marie Joseph Kübler (born October 10, 1848 in Heiligenberg , † November 22, 1935 in Colmar ) was a notary and member of the second chamber of the regional parliament of the Alsace-Lorraine state for the center .

Joseph Kübler was the son of the farmer and mayor Balthazar Kübler (born January 5, 1811 in Heiligenberg ; † March 7, 1892 ibid) and his wife Madeleine nee Wigishoff (born April 4, 1809 in Heiligenberg; † November 22, 1888 ibid).

Joseph Kübler, who was a Catholic denomination, attended the Catholic elementary school and the Lyceum in Strasbourg and Paris. He trained as a clerc de notaire and participated in the Franco-German war . He fought at the Siege of Metz , the Battle of Mars-la-Tour and the Battle of Gravelotte . From 1877 he was a notary in Bourdonnay , Wintzenheim and from 1900 in Colmar .

He was a member of the District Assembly (1910 to 1915 President) and from November 1883 to May 1911 a member of the State Committee elected by the District Assembly. There he was secretary, later vice-president. He was President of the Colmar Chamber of Notaries.

In the first (and only) election to the state parliament, he ran as a candidate for the center in the constituency of Neubreisach-Andolsheim. In the first ballot, 4825 votes were cast out of the 5847 eligible voters in the constituency. Martz received 2513 votes , the independent candidate Hemmerle 1834 and the Social Democrat Bleu 440 votes.

In 1915 he was arrested after a house search. In October 1915 and after he had resigned from all political offices, he was released.
