Joseph Lohmann

Franz Joseph Lohmann (born November 4, 1799 in Brilon ; † April 11, 1858 there ) was a German judge and parliamentarian.

Life

Joseph Lohmann attended high school in Münster . He then studied law at the Georg August University in Göttingen and the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg . In 1818 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . In 1823 he became an auscultator , in 1824 trainee lawyer and in 1825 provisional administrator of the justice office in Eslohe . In 1828 he was promoted to judicial officer there. In 1838 he was appointed conductor of the judicial office in Brilon. In 1839 he was appointed regional and city court director in Brilon. In 1850 he became director of the local district court.

From 1849, the beginning of the second legislative period, until 1858 Lohmann sat in the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1849 to 1855 he was a member of the constituency Arnsberg 5 and from 1855 to 1858 of the constituency Arnsberg 2. He was initially a member of the Centrum parliamentary group. In 1852 he was a co-founder of the Catholic parliamentary group .
