Joseph Meitinger

Joseph Meitinger (* 1693 ; † 1769/70) was a German church builder and plasterer from Ustersbach .

Life

In 1726 Joseph Meitinger led the construction of the new choir and nave of the parish church of St. Martin in Mertingen . From 1731 to 1734 he was involved in the production of the Johann von Nepomuk Chapel in Augsburg Cathedral . In Fischach he expanded the Catholic parish church of St. Michael in 1730 and built the synagogue in 1739 . For the Fuggers he designed the plans for the town hall in Kirchheim in Swabia .

In Ustersbach, Joseph-Meitinger-Straße is named after him.
